Thanks everyone, there are a couple of places on the wing root I need to fix. It's always hard to pick colours. You can see by the profiles I made with the same paint scheme from different paint companies. I picked the top one.

Good choice. The others just don't feel right.

I usually build at the coffee table while watching TV, but with family and friends over for the Christmas season my cutting mat and scissors have been put away. It's given me time to do a few repaints and profiles. These are the repaints i have finished so far. I hope to start building some of these in the new year.

I didn't think Lagg-3 soldered long enough to get two tone grey camo. They weren't particularly successful due to mostly poor quality work and materials.

Interesting. Looking forward to builds.

Here is a close up of one of the grey Lagg-3 66 series repaints I did. The 66 series was the last Lagg-3s built.

Glad to see those early war LaGGs. A most interesting series of airplanes.

Clearly, it's time to focus on family and the holidays, but when circumstances are right, I look forward to your future models.

Onto the Soviets now! Well, no complaints from me on that front Brent. The LaGG 3's look good. The others- one is an La-5FN and the other an La-7. Correct?

Yes, they are Lagg-3s, La-5FN and La-7. I am currently working on a "kitbash" of an La-5. I have seen a couple of Il-2 Sturmoviks and Pe-2 schemes that I want to do too.

Don,
Bruno's model is of an early series Lagg-3. The repaints I have done are of middle and late production Lagg-3s. More bumps and humps on the early Lagg-3s.

Not 100 scale, but I built, repainted, kit bashed a few 300 scale S&P planes. To make them truly Canadian I made cardstock hockey puck stands. The planes are the Aurora, Neptune, Argus 2 and Lancaster.
