Hello
Couldn't resist building this plane. I'm very happy with the result. No build issues whatsoever. Niki |

Looks really good. Nice yellow and markings. The fit of the parts looks to be good, too.

I'm not sure if this was discussed in Aaron's thread, but the aircraft that the model is based on aappears to have been a USAF T-28 later provided to France and flown as a Fennec before being transferred to civilian hands and repainted in U.S. Navy colors:
Geoff Goodall's Aviation History Site, Warbird Directory Vol. 6 [http://www.goodall.com.au/warbirds.htm] says: "[North American Constructor Number] 174-602 T-28A [Military Serial] 51-7749 (to Armee de l'Air as Fennec No. 135) Fennec Dijon AB, France: displ. 87/88 F-AZHR Amicale les Ailes Tremontaises, Tremons 16.3.92/94 Christophe Jacquart/ Lafayette Aviation, Dijon-Darois 96 SA 5F, Dijon-Darois 01/13 op: Aero Fox 07/08 (flies as yellow '517749/No.135/US Navy 749'" http://www.goodall.com.au/warbirds-d...h-american.pdf According to Joe Baugher's USAAS/USAAC/USAAF/USAF site, 51-7749 was the USAF serial of the original aircraft: "51-7749 (c/n 174-602) to French AF as Fennec no. 135. SOC Par 1966. Preserved at L'Ecole des Apprentis de Saintes by 1973. Displayed at Dijon AFB 1987-1988. To French civil registry as F-AZHR Mar 20, 1992." 1951 USAF Serial Numbers Does anyone know if any T-28 aircraft ever actually flew for the U.S. Navy as HR 749? In any event, it's a beautiful airplane, and your build is flawless. Don __________________________________________________ _____________________________________ |

The first version was great; this is even better! I remember watching them as a kid as they prepared for flight at NAS Grosse Ile.
