my first build
Hello guys,
I guest this is my first build thread,so that being said, i would love for you guys to point out my errors and mistakes and also i would like for all of you to give comments and advice,so that in future builds i will try to improve it the best i can. Back to the build, currently im building a super deformed stealth plane which is the F117 Nighthawk, and in a way, enhance it so that it will still look cute but in the same way cool for everybody to see Ive got the templates for this build from mamecraft- japan,so im guessing that everyone knew about this templates, its an easy template mostly aimed for begginers such as myself But for this project, im aiming a bit higher which is making the model much bigger and more detailed from the previous build So heres the picture, and im hoping i did justice in making it more detailed, enjoy Bubble jet, * sorry for the terrible pictures,im not very agile with a camera |

Nice job. The modifications and markings really make it pop. Is the landing gear self designed, or taken from another model? In either case, well done!

Looks good for a first try. Some nice modifications.
One thing to do to make the models look real good is to color the edges of the cut out parts to hide the white of the cardstock. Do that before assembly and gluing. Color with the printed side away from you so if you slip the printed graphics won't get marked. Use whatever kind of markers you feel comfortable with or are readily available to you. You can try to match the color of the printed side or try various shades of grey instead.

I agree about the coloring of the edges... To add my 2 cents; for models like the F-117 and the SR-71 I like to use "black" cardstock that way i dont have to worry so much about the edges!
Your on the right track! When I started I did everything "scaled up" until I was experienced enough to build at "smaller" scales. |

Not bad for a first model, not bad at all. Another place to check out here on the forum is the First Cuts lounge, a subforum aimed at beginners. Lots of good advice there for new paper modelers. I like to refer back to it now and again for refreshers.
