My Bruno Plane(s)
Hello,
a few weeks ago I could purchase some models from Bruno (scissors & planes). I never built an airplane before, and I thought it's the same like to built something else.. But, It isn't! I had two tries in 1/100 scale with ordinary printer paper (80g). But the hull was so soft, and I always had wrinkles before I could finish it. I gave em a last chance in 1/72 on 200g paper, and it worked! Wooohooo! :D Now it's not as fragile as before, and it looks like a plane, and not like a crash. Thank you Bruno for all the nice models, and respect to all the plane modelers for their great looking stuff and the motivation I got from them. ..the next plane is at the wharf.. Best regards, Andreas - I forgot to write, It's a Vought SB-2U1 Vindicator. |

Excellant Work Andreas. I also got hooked on Bruno's planes and like you scaled them up a bit. You build is a lot cleaner than mine are. I look forward to seeing more of your work.

Very nice. It took me several attempts before I got one airplane that I would consider 'acceptable'. Your skills improved faster than mine.

Thank you all for your Kind words!
The next plane is nearly finished. It's a Little bit like an Obsession! One is started, and I'm still looking for a next one... Best regards, Andreas |

The next plane is finished!
But before, I noticed that I did the Propeller wrong. I glued it flat on the plane instead of doing the blades separately in an angle. Now it's repaired in the right way. Here are new photos (I know, I'm a bad photographer...) The Vindicator is hunting for a Japanese Army Isuzu Truck. The truck is also a Bruno model! |

And my second plane for the collection!
R.A.F. Se 5a plane. It remembers me on some WW1 movies made in the 70's. Between the fighting Stearman's and Tiger Moth's were always a Se5 or two. The planes has the livery of the Canadian famous fighter Pilot "Billy" (William Avery) Bishop. Officially credited with 72 victories. Newer researches coming to 80 or 95 (including balloons) victories. I tried to do the rigging on this plane, but after hours I removed the done parts. The paper girders between the wings are too soft for doing a nice looking rigging. Best regards, Andreas |

Nice planes. I particularly like the first pic of the Vindicator.
