Orlik vought kingfisher 1:33 - 1:50

Hey Family,

Well Raj got me started and thinking about storage space and the beauty of a spitfire that he built at 1:87 so i decided to follow suit but only in 1:50 and my first build was this orlik kit. It is about 90% completed. hope you all enjoy these pics of my build so far. and it is yet to receive its coat of matt varnish...

not really Tim, only that at that scale there are minute parts that just don't make sense cutting out. At 66% its original size.. once i am finish it will get a matt varnish makeover.

planning to do a Me 110G series in this scale too. i love the face that you can get quite a bit of detailing done in paper at that scale

One love.

!/50 is definitely a great scale for aircraft. You have to approximate some details, some are best left flat. Halinski kits are a real challenge. Your kingfisher looks great. were there any fit problems, scale not withstanding?

That turned out good at that scale. Nice and shiny, too. The close-up photography is good.

I definitely agree CMDRTED 1/50 is awesome..after all the fittings are done. i will definitely tone down the "shininess"... yeah there were very minor fit problem...and some parts altogether had to be omitted (just to small at that scale to be practical)
