Belated "well done" on the latest work, Glen. Beautiful job on this wonderful old flying machine.

Thanks Don, (Happy Birthday again to you!) I hope the work holds up the rest of the way... but am progressing, had some time to work on it today as found myself home without anything else I [I]had[I] to do
Worked on the wings, shaped them, added tips, removed ailerons and put in a space where they would go, glued the wings on. I glued strips of card to the top and bottom of the wing stringers so as not to show through the skin, and just glued at the root and the trailing edges. They are designed nicely and fit well. The rudder and ailerons can be posed as are moveable, but not too loose as to droop (not a good look for the ailerons, but would be fine if had added flaps which I didn't) I'm liking it more as it goes along, and will work on the rest shortly

That looks great! I made the Revell 1/32 Wildcat once and painted it the same as yours. It was one of the best finishes I ever achieved on a model. Airbrushed and decals sealed with a flat coat etc etc. It didn't look nearly as good as the card one you have done here.

Two really fine old birds, both the one you're building and the one so well spotted. - L.

Very kind of you to say, that quality models of card can be made is true and they are lightweight and relatively inexpensive, but I bet your plastic one was very nice. My trouble is always hiding the seams and my success at that is variable, I have seen it done very well though so is the carrot...
