S&P building spree...by dhanners

OK........ I'm posting this up for David, who is having a little problem with the Apple OS upgrade and is unable to post up pictures because of it..........

"Spent the past couple of mornings building two S&P offerings, a KC-135R and an E-3 Sentry in NATO markings. The KC-135R was built stock, but on the Sentry, I added detail to the engines, the cheek blisters, the thingie under the nose and I improved the radome."

Thanks for the kind words. I am in the land of metric measurement, so the paper I'm using is listed as 160 gsm (grams per square meter) which, if I read conversion charts properly, works out to about 80-ish-pound or so. It is fairly workable, even in 1/300, a scale I never thought I would enjoy, but I tried the NASA 747 SOFIA and found my aging eyes and fingers could handle it, so I wound up building these two and the NASA "Vomit Comet."

Here's a photo of the four I've built so far. I downloaded the 8.0.2 update, which now allows me to upload photos, it appears. Other issues remain, though, like the inability to download models from Paper-Replika and other websites. I wish I'd never "updated" my iPad....

Back when I had an iPhoine with iOS 6 or something I couldn't download from Paper-replika. Now that I have a Windows Phone running Windows 7 I also still can't download.

With the previous OS, I had no trouble at all downloading from PR or anywhere else. The new one has thrown a wrench in that. It also causes the battery to drain faster, and even with the fix, there seem to be connectivity issues. All in all, I'd say the update sucks, at least for my purposes.
