Thank you for your kind words don. I hope to get better in designing as my current method is inefficient. Do you know of any free software for digitally creating models? I tried pepakura but it wouldn't work on my laptop.

I saw the one for NASA take off from Moffett Field take off. Straight up like a rocket. I never saw anything like it. With in a few seconds it was out of sight. This will be a great add to the fleet. wc

Yeah I'm working on the NASA one. I have two different models, the NASA and standard USAF colors. I heard that the U-2 is extremely hard to land, so that might make landing gear pretty hard, but I'll do it! I'm thinking about making gear and flying capabilities optional as you won't want a flying model with tiny landing gear, I've tried it before

Done with final. It has some structural support but not a lot, so it doesn't gain too much weight for flight

Here's the final. I'm sorry for the carpet in the background, I took the pic with my cellphone and couldn't crop it out. Photos of your builds are greatly appreciated, and I'll share a few of mine.

Sorry I know it's bad build quality I had to scramble something really quick to finish over the weekend. It has the landing gear and, almost like the real one, doesn't balance very well, but flies pretty well before I put on the gear.

I cleaned up the file and imported it to illustrator when I first got the program a year ago. This has been sitting in my laptop for a while and I fixed it up a little more to fix some problems. To make it fly, you can either put on a paperclip to the nose or stuff the nose with a weight of paper (the heavier the better) This model is still not perfect and nowhere close to my current standards of designing , which are now more standard. Be patient to assembly this model if you have trouble because I will post a tutorial on how to build this later. The wheels have very long strips for the tires since I forgot to measure the circumference so I will show their assembly too in the tutorial, so don't freak out
U-2papermodelV.1.0Color_orig copy.zip Big thanks to aansorge for putting this model back on my mind. I hope your build turns out well

Very nice design work, Paperengineer. Thank you for very much for making this U-2 available to us! I've just added it to my digital stack of kits.
