Cool Comparison with Me-262

Now that the Kikka is done, I wanted to share some pics with a Modelik Me-262. The Modelik version is relatively average in complexity and details, but here it is to show that the aircraft was larger than the Kikka.

I plan to build the GPM kit of the Me-262 soon and at a later date the new super detailed Halinski ( KA ) kit as well.

On to the next model.

Hello Isaac,

Well done! Another mission completed. I like the details on the Kikka, such as the antenna, pitot tube on the right side of the fuselage, tail skid and trim tab on the rudder. These details make it an interesting model. The Japanese certainly kept a keen eye on German developments, that's for sure. Looking forward to your Me-262 builds!

Regards,
Erik

Question

Erik

I started getting the GPM Me-262 kit ready. I even have all the parts cut. However, I'm not clear about the instruction for the nose section as it appears that some joiners are missing ( or maybe clear instructional views ).

Also, I looked at the vertical tail to fuselage fillet design. It is a real mess! Really I don't understand why it was designed like that. The real plane does not have this feature, so why does it happen on this kit? Also, the color band color can never match.

Here is a picture of Birder's build for reference.

So for now, I have put the GPM Me-262 on hold. I think I will purchase the Halinski KA version.

My next project will be to build Yoav's F-4E Kurnas kit.

Cheers

Isaac
