I purchased the Egyptian MiG-21. I was doing some small modifiactions on it by adding the exterior stenciling and blurring the camo on it.
Thanks, Gary

Great progress, Ofanim!
I didn't know the store added the F-16... in Thunderbird design! Your F-5 looks very nice. |

The Egyptian one is nice indeed.

After the little breakthrough yesterday, I made something more consequent today, I finished the second part of the fuselage , I have to glue the two parts together, and I'll start the long bulge behind the canopy and all along the upper fuselage. The quality of the Pdfs is incredible, the only sad thing is the lack of weathering but with all our tools it's not difficult to get something good, and the fact that the exhaust are represented by black circles. Murphyaa gave me the authorization to use the exhaust of his Xian Q6 ,which I didn't printed yet. I made a "homemade " wheathering on the lower surface and especially on the rear section of the fuselage, exhaust nozzles included. Thankfully it's the rear of the aircraft so if I'm not satisfied I'll not have difficulties to remove the part and start again. Regards, Ronan. |

Many Thanks
Tonight I have started to build the HUD and made the right air intake, I got some trouble making it, the second one will be, I hope, better. I have to correct the little hole at the junction between the intake and the rear of the cockpit. Regards, Ronan. |

Looking great so far.
Always liked the F-5. Nice use of weathering. Is that a chalk pastel? I did something similar to a recent model. G1 |

Thanks, you're very kind
For the weathering I use black or grey paint , I apply the paint with a small brush by making little circles . To avoid that the paint recover the ink on the paper I remove the exceeding paint on the brush. I should try chalk pastels, the result could be better. Today I finished the right air intake, I've got the same problem, the little hole is here too, I'll have some scratch to do to correct this. I have started and finished the upper section of the fuselage ,I also made the tail fin (very very big ) and the left empenage, very small, that's funny . Regards, Ronan. |
