Northrop F-5N Tiger II
Hi everyone! I have started a new aircraft a week ago,
it's the Northrop F-5N Tiger II from paperaircraftmodels.com The scale is 1/32 and the representated aircraft is an F-5N used by the VFC-111 Sun Downers, a Navy reserve squadron in Florida. I choose this one because of the colors, the tail decal, the denture under the nose and of course the aircraft himself Here is some photos. Regards, Ronan |

Here is more photos;
I tried to open the air vents on the two sides of the aircraft but when I finished the first side I realized there were 5 plates instead or 4 but everything was already dry and the paper was already fragilized (even if it is 160g) because of the black paint inside, the glue and the two holes. Once finished, even if the number of plates is wrong I'm not disappointed by the result. I tried to do an ejection handle with paper because I don't have yellow wire here but the result was pretty bad so I'll wait. I also add some details in the cockpit like the rudder pedals, the joystick and the throttle, that's not amazing but it's something Regards, Ronan |

about the air vents....
for my opinion, it is better to make an open box with black or dark bottom, and then put inside all the shutters of the air vent with the right angle . and after that put and glue from the inside the box assembly. i think it is more easy and more convenient for good result. but again, it is my opinion from my experience. auxiliary air intakes
All
These doors are not vents. They are auxiliary air intakes for the jet engines during start and low speeds. Isaac

Thanks for the kind words guys
I'll write your Tip Yoav, next time if I have something like that to do I'll check it and try to do it with your recommendation Thanks Isaac for your comment, I had no much idea about those intakes but now it's more clear and logic, there is additional air intakes on many aircrafts but I admit it that this was the first time I see this system, I'm used to see small scoops along the fuselage. And thanks for the vocabulary words like shutters, it helps me a lot Tonight I'll bed down less dumb Regards, Ronan |

Ofanim,
You could contruct the ejection handles using thin isolation wire (like the wire for motherboards &tc). It is usually black, so you'll have to paint the yellow part(s). See Yoav's F4E for details. |

Very nice start on this kit Ronan. I have two kits that I purchased from this site (MiG-15 & MiG-21). Based on the fantastic work you are doing (including the added details), there doesn't seem to be any fit issues at all.
Thanks, Gary

Thanks friends
I finally found some yellow wire so I finished the ejection seat. I also added a little red wire like on some photos I found on the internet. Now I can move on and do the rest of the fuselage, I think there is two or three remaining parts, this is gonna be a little plane, even if it is at 1/33 . Yep, no fitting problems, missing colors or anything else spotted, you can start yours Gary when I bought this one I also took the Polish F-16. Which Mig-21 do you have? Regards, Ronan |
