Is this site legit?

Hey gang, I came across this site; paper aviation. They sell paper aircraft models by the hundreds, so it is a pay site. Does anyone know if this is a legit site?

paper aviation has been around a long time.
They have collected, without permission, an enormous collection of found artwork.
Mostly profile artworks of aircraft.
These are artist's renditions of what aircraft may have looked like.
They compiled those, along with related info about each aircraft, into a "reference library" for aircraft.

They also shared pirated models (digital scans) for a long time.
All found internet stuff.
...until they got the idea to host all the material on their own host site
and then sell memberships to download files.

I don't recommend using their site for ANYTHING ...especially paying for pirated models.
Even their aircraft reference information is just stolen along with images
so its not a reliable source of aircraft history.
I have seen people quote history based on the profile artworks found there, and the info has been wrong.

Most images can be found on their original sites, with minimal searching.
And there are plenty of sources for more accurate historical info.

It is good to ask about a site before you waste your money.

The first site mentioned was one of the first sites where I downloaded a model. Once I realized that these were models available from legitimate sources, I got the original files I was looking for. BTW ... the original was of much better quality.

Looks like they have two models work-in-progress
and one in the store (for purchase/download).

So...you gotta start somewhere.
