Kuwait a Airways B777-200
Here is my beta build of John Bowden's re-color of Julius Perdana's B777-200 in Kuwait Airways livery, in 1/150th scale. My stepson is a manager at Kuwait Airways, so I thought it would be cool to model one of their planes.
John tweaked some parts of Julius' original design and came up with some new parts, and I scratchbuilt some others. Personally, I believe the addition of panel lines, though subtle, adds a lot to the model. There were no fit issues, although I abandoned the "normal" building method and built the main fuselage section around a paper towel tube. I had to cut the tube down to get it to the proper diameter. It is a lot of work, but I feel it adds strength and rigidity to the model and it also ensures the fuselage will be straight. The model parts are well designed, though, and you'd have no trouble building it as per the instructions. And, since I'm doing this on my iPad, I can only upload one photo per post....

GREAT JOB!!!! I am currently working on another 777-200 beta build and I do have to say these panel lines sure bring out the true beauty of the model.

I'm trying to contact Julius now to make sure he is OK with the changes I have done............but I haven't heard back from him yet.
So the release is on hold until I get an OK from him.
