A different way I used to power them was using a compressed air bladder. Kind of like a high powered balloon. Here is a link showing what the bladder is and how its made: "Jet" Power Compressed Air Bladder Mike |

c/l paper models
Hi
Some posts ago, (I've just found the thread) Papaercut was asking about c/l paper models. I was wondering whether he was referring to "Whip - control" flying ? I've flown a few models this way including a larger scale fiddlers green Flying Flea, it's good fun and kids love it, it also costs next to nothing, all you need is a piece of fishing rod or bamboo and some fine nylon or string. It's possible to do some pretty scary manoeuvres. Liz P.s. If anyones wants I'll dig out some more info. Sorry, but I cannot find any of my pictures of the model flying.

Hi Mike,
I found these models very impressive! I never seen as huge flyable paper models before! My biggest models was an 1/72 Tu-128, and a half meter wingspan glider in the past. However I fly my plane usualy from flat terrain, and I could just dreaming about as big and peaceful place to fly, as you have! I quess, how would they work with a long, strong rubber launcher, launched by two person. One would keep the launcher, on a stick, and the other would walk back and launch the model. Peter |

I've visited your site, watched some of your videos. Your models fly very well! The place where the first photos were taken, is back in Idaho. Was staying at a friends place while helping my mother with some of her doctor appointments. Here in Alaska need a way to propel them, and dodge many trees, oh and the rain needs to stop. Mostly rain this summer. Haven't had the weather to test fly anything outside. Peter, hope you don't mind: Peters Aircraft Factory - YouTube has some great videos of his models flying. Mike |
