Maly Modelarz, SNECMA C 450-01 Coléoptère, 1/33

Dear all,

after having completed der Kampfflieger's XFY-1 Pogo, I start my next build. Both Pogo andColéoptère have one thing in common - both are tailsitters. BTW: There are some more tailsitters to come, for example Focke Wulf Triebflügel, XFV-1 Salmon, Heinkel Lerche, XL-1, Bachem Natter, ...

As usual for the beginning: The cut out parts!

The first steps are to build the parts for the fuselage and the ring. For comparison reasons (I still have no cube :o) I've put there my cutter - it is 15cm/ 6" long. That's it for today, more to come tomorrow or the day after!

Well - you're not referring to the fuselage, you refer to the ring-shaped wing :D

Actually, I was referring to your knife in the first picture - if the knife is six inches long, the diameter of the fuselage seems pretty big! Then again, it has been a long time since I built a plane...

Dieter,

What is the number for this kit?
I never have seen this from MM ever, I know that Answer or Quest, and Wilhelmshaven have one of these, but not MM.

Can you enlighten me?

Rick

Rick,

it's 1961/1. Quest provides also a C450-01 which is in the loop for after my holiday. WHV offers the Hanneton IIIA. I won't build this since my project consists of military tailsitters only.

Fiddlers Green has many entries in the "weird aircraft"-section but I miss the Coléoptère!
