The parts

The first order was to clean the printer heads, get them aligned and test a few pages on plain paper. Make sure you check your ink levels since you have allot of pages to print all at once.

The reason for that is that if you only print a few pages here and there, the colors will not match and you will have unusual patterns.

I printed a total of 28 pages on A4 premium card of 160 g/m2.

Aircraft and externals were 24 pages and extras were 4 pages.

Here they are

and with my 1/32 scale plastic model for reference.

Once the pages dried, I sorted them into sections of the build and placed in a clear sleeve until I need them.

I also purchased previously ( for my GPM F-4E build which will not occur ) a canopy and resin wheels. As noted before, the canopy is wrong in that the windscreen is round and should be flat. So I will have to vacuform my own canopy later on or try to purchase the one for the Maly Modelarz version which has a correct windscreen.

Build starting next.

not only the windacreen is round and not flat, the shape of the canopy is no good at all, and it is thiner and short and not fit to my F-4E cockpit.

Gee... I have that same canopy from GPM. I guess I have to find another one.

Very clean printing, Isaac!

Now, sharp blades to the task!

the canopy of mally is better, you have to cut the edges below, but it is much better.

This one is from Halinski:
Kanzel für F-4J Phantom 1:33 (Halinski KA 5-6/95)

Maybe we can try that too.

We are all in the same situation. Try to purchase the Maly Modelarz canopy from Poland, or make your own.

Exclamation Ejection seats and cockpit

The ejection seat is nicely done with medium detail, so it does not take alot of effort to make it look good.

The biggest challenge is to make the ejection handles. I used soft wire and painted it yellow and black since I do not have yellow wire. However, that was not a big deal.

here they are

The cockpit has minimal detail. However, it uses photo realistic panels that give it a nice image.

Rear cockpit

all the parts

and with the seats ( do not glue in place yet ).

aft

These sub assemblies will be put aside now until the aircraft nose section is built.

Happy new year to all. may your building in 2015 be great and enjoyable.

Cheers

Hi ISSAC

My name is Ki Woong KIM.

I look forward to completing your wonderful IAF-4 PHANTOM.

I want to ask you one thing.

I wonder what you're at the right end of the four-page file will print a 28 page picture of where you received.

Now is the time to make my third IAF-4 PHNATOM in production that has four pages I like going to need.

Unfortunately, I do not have the technology to convert the file.

Mr. Kim

Anyang hashimnika

The 4 extra pages are the landing gear and an extra vertical tail. However since you already built a version with the gear down, you do not need those pages.

What did you use for your landing gear?

Best of luck

Isaac
