Billy I know it's been some time since you built the X-15 but do you what thickness card you used to double formers with? Great looking build by the way.....Rich

Hello X-15 fans,

I've build the X-15, too in a german forum two years ago. Maybe you are interested in the building report. Unfortunaly it is in german, but perhaps pics can help future builder of that fantastic model.

BTW, the formers must have been a little thicker, I can't recall exactly but I use 320 grs, and 280grs, and sometimes even thin foamboard, the 170grs I use for the normal templates

For the formers, I used card from the backs of legal pads--about 1mm thick. Other parts were printed on bright white 65# cover stock.

It's a great kit, one of my favorites!
