DF-9E Panther?
Just got the Ken L. West Grumman DF-9E Panther from Ecardmodels, and did not catch the fact that this kit has no landing gear or cockpit. Anyone know of a cockpit (1/33) that would work, not worried how correct it is just one that looks the part, same for the gear, just something I can use...Thanks....Rich

I did the kit write-up, I did note those facts but somehow neglected to include them. I do apologise for that omission.
I'll correct it as soon as possible. If you're unhappy, drop Chris a mail. Regards |

No I like the model, just want a clear canopy so need a cockpit. Like I say don't care how accurate it just so it looks the part. Any fit issues I should watch for?....Rich

if you want cheap, use stahlarts usn aircraft, f5d has reasonable landing gear. Geli made an old grumman cougar that had rudimentary cockpit and gear. the ockpit was a cube cut to fit the opening and an instrument panel and kinda seat. If you want real good get sumato's banshee kit. You can figure how to graft the cockpit and gear. would be like halinski detail level.

I bought Sumato's Banshee kit last year for the same purpose. Another option is Martin's FJ-1 Fury which is also highly detailed. Both kits are at ecardmodels.
