Great job on the detail work. This is turning into a very nice model. Congratulations.

gotta love Dora

What is it about the long-nosed, 'd'-series that makes it so captivating to piston aircraft folk? Did it make the excellent radial 'a'-series even better? what about the Ta-152?

Is this an appropriate place for these questions?

How about this. . . the well-regarded Kawasaki Ki-61 (Tony) with DB-601 was eclipsed by the even better Ki-100 (Goshiki-sen) with BMW-based radial engine? Why?

Even though the radial engine FW was a great fighter, there is something about the look of the long nose "D". And the TA-152 was even cooler. (just my thoughts).....Rich

If you stopped right there it would be a nice model. I can only imagine what the rest of it will look like if it's as detailed as the engine.

Thank you all for your kind comments.

-> cbg; richkat: I personally don't find that inline engined aircrafts are more beautiful than radial engined aircrafts. I find the F4u-1d and P-47D have a stupendous look although conversely the Mig3 is nice looking. Regarding the Ta152 its nose is too long (! ?)
