Try this link for "Flak Bait" preservation info:

Flak-Bait | National Air and Space Museum

I haven't heard anything about ongoing or in-depth television coverage of "Flak Bait's" preservation. The project is expected to take over 5 years; of course, we will be working on other projects during that time as well. Right now, the Boeing Milestones of Flight gallery in the National Mall building is undergoing a major redesign and upgrade, and as I mentioned, I'm also working a second major project, the Apollo Telescope Mount, plus several other tasks.

I just looked at the Twitter link Rickstef posted. Right now the top item is about the NACA fan, a massive wood-bladed fan from Langley's decommissioned full scale wind tunnel. The fan just left the shop last week, and is part of the Milestones revamp. We've enjoyed imagining all the visitors who will be wondering what airplane it came off of.

How could I have missed referencing the mag?

It's Aviation History.
