Good job up so far Klaas. I remember that Ostoja provided a kind of recipe how he makes canopies. Using a mould and if I remember correctly, without a vacuum box. He's heating the overhead sheet with water or oil in a frying pan and what i understood sort of folding it around the mould. The procedure is somewhere in one of his glider threads written last year.

Regards,
Erik

Succeeded with the canopy
It fits well, and looks ok. That's what counts.
Did it Yoav's way. When it came off the mold it was not as clear as Yoav's canopy, but I thought it to be good enough.

As an extra a picture of the air intakes, where the joints that needed correction (in my build, possibly NOT the design !) are emphasized.

Next time: the finished model I hope

history of Kfir

@Longbow and Yoav,

Could you give us some history on the Kfir? Was Kfir a license-built French Dassault Mirage or was it a hybrid? I am unclear on this but am very interested.

Please advise,
Merci,
cbg

One thing I like about Yoav's planes are the joining strips, the way he colors them to match the area they go...I wish all designers would do that. Your canopy (and the plane) looks GREAT!......Rich
