Very nice indeed!
This was your first atempt building a paper model? If so, I'm even more impressed.
Looks great.

beautiful build and finish, especially for your first paper model.
Be exciting to see what you do with your next models.
Thanks for all the info and posting the build!

Thanks for the compliments guys. Yes, this is my first paper model, other than buildings.
The plane is in 1/24. I use mostly the cheap chinese little people I get off of ebay, with a few (like the pilot) from Japan or Italy... made for truck models I think. I do have a tutorial type of thread I could post here on how I do the surgery on the little people if that would be appropriate. I don't know where to find 1/16 people though.

You did a great job on that J-3. I enjoyed the excellent sharp images and your description of the techniques that you used. Your engine house and module are great, too. I look forward to seeing lots of posts from you. You have a lot to offer us.

Nicely done, I particularly like the push pin fixer for the prop, it looks like it was made for the job.

Nice work! How about some pics of your railroad layouts?

The Piper Cub was my first model also. Yours is better. Great build thread, as well.

Wonderful build, excellent write-up. I have not built this full size version yet, only the tiny business card version (view my tiny gallery).

That is a very good model. I have tried the newer version of the Cub but I mess up everytime...
