Yoav's Mirage--Build

So, it seems that Yoav's models are getting more famous every day. Isaac has his, Yoav recently made two free downloads, etc. I decided to hop on the Yoav building bandwagon and am making his mirage. I am by no means as good of a builder as Isaac or Yoav, but I'll give it a try. So far I have finished the cockpit and almost all of the fuselage. It all looks very nice to me, except for the few seams at the nose that I messed up on (three A.M. isn't the best time to build a paper model). I am very pleased with the model. My only complaint (If you can call it that) is that the nose had tabs that were for the more black nosed version. I had to glue over the previous layer so the tabs wouldn't have a black ring on that seam. The bent-in-ness of the bottom view picture is from holding too tightly, not a building error.

In my opinion, the ejection seat was very fun. Most hate those things, but they're my favorite

Thanks guys for your interest and appreciation.

I don't think i shrank intentionally. I got the files from the jumbo mail zip files and may have accidentally left it on fit to page. I was thinking about a 1/200 one of these once I finish this one for an even bigger challenge but haven't printed it yet

It looks like the nose section was printed smaller than the rest. That is why there is that step.

The problem with jpeg files is that you need the proper software that will print it actual size. Do not let it "fit to page" . I finaly got Photoshop Elements program to do it. I'm sure there are others.

My suggestion is to cut off the mismatched nose , print it again properly, and attach.

Also, the more you build, the better you get.

Isaac

I use "Cute PDF editor" to save them as PDF's and "PDFTK builder" to put them all in one file and "Foxit reader" to print at any scale I want. All free programs and worth having......Rich
