Funny thing about most Russian airliners is, there so ugly there almost works of art in there own right. Goes to show, put enough power on anything, and it will fly.
My favourite part of the bigger Russian/Soviet planes is the glazed nose, just something about it.

How about an Il-62, Aaron?

Since we're talking Russian airliners, here's what I have:
1/72 An-24
1/72(?) Il-14
1/72 Tu-104AK (Aaron's)
1/72 Tu-134
1/100 Il-18
1/100 Il-86
1/100 Tu-154
1/100 Su-100

How about a Tu-144? Anyone make one?

Nose and empennage look just like a Tu-104. Anyone one know about the commonality between the two a/c?

Other than being airliners designed by Tupolev and both being derived from existing bombers, I couldn't find anything.

Imagine if the US did the same thing with bombers after the 50's. An airliner derived from the B-47, or B-52?

Tu-104 was derived from the Tu-16, whereas the Tu-104 was derived from the Tu-95.

Both the Tu-16 and Tu-95 entered service at roughly the same time, one powered by turboprops, the other by turbojets. Would make sense for both aircraft to share a common design base. Uncommonly enough, both were successful and put into production.
