Murph's Models - TUPOLEV Tu-114 CLEAT, 1/104

The next of Aaron's big airliner is the Tu-114, at 1/104, measuring 20.5 inches,
found out after a quick and dirty build of the fuselage only. There are some minor
graphic mismatches and Aaron will no doubt put it right. Any more? No idea at
this stage, possibly no.

those big planes seem to like the 1;100 range for scale.

Same here. This is a very cool aircraft. I'm tempted to print it on A3, which would bring it up to approximately 1:72 scale.

The sleek fuselage is done at 1/200, which is almost 11 inches long. And for size comparison
with the original scale, the quick-dirty built fuselage is in the background.

This one might just get me to start building some of the 20 or so 1/100-1/150 airliner models I've accumulated.

How about an Il-62, Aaron?

I second that. Russian planes are always good, airlifters are also always good. Combining the two, even better. Looking up some 3-views now.

Looking good. Can't wait to see the finished model.
Funny thing about most Russian airliners is, there so ugly there almost works of art in there own right. Goes to show, put enough power on anything, and it will fly.
