Here is a link for a very good scale calculator, just put in starting scale and what scale you want and it will show you the % you need and will also show paper size you need. It has some built in scales but if you click on "define other source scale" you can put in any scale you want.......Rich

thanks Rich....it is very useful instead of doing the calculation by myself and with my head.

another important thing:
if you want to take one part in one scale and put it in another file in different scale and fit the part to the scale in the new file, you have to make sure that the 2 files are in the same DPI, otherwise this scale calculator is not good and the change with the scale will be not correct.

i know this thing from my experience.
in the past i had a lot of trouble understanding why when i move one part from one file to another file and change the scale i have got big or small part from what i need.
