I decided to cover the tail wheel and strut in super glue. That fixed it.

It was too small for a rod. But that would be ok as well. I used what I had.

Yes, very simple model . I only recommend it as a beginner model.


There is an IAF version somewhere as well. I'll see if I can build it later as well.

I enjoyed this thread, Isaac. Great model, executed with your customary skill and flair, and some good ideas about building in limited spaces and with a limited set of tools and resources.

I was not sure also if Dr. Zarkov designed this Spitfire, I never asked.

But Iron Maiden did have 2 airplanes for themselves, not fighters thou:

The Spitfire went OK. It looks the before and after of your modeling skills.

Here is the 3 bladed propeller with the petal design spinner.


I used a paperclip for a shaft. Also, small piece of wood in each blade extending to the spinner for gluing
