Thank you very much Ringmaster. She a beatuty. Also on that same page is a link to the Curtiss R3C-2 another fantastic racing plane. If only there were more from the time period in aviation. I know FG has a few other racing planes but the seaplanes was really where racing all stated. wc

I vaguely remember someone who used to post on Zealot, who sold another Italian Snyder Cup racer that used a marine propeller to get up speed.

It is true, Waddy, that Schneider Cup and other seaplane racers do not seem to be well represented among paper models.

Canon has a model of a Macchi-Castoldi M.C.72 Schneider racer: Macchi M.C.72 - Aircraft - Vehicles - Paper Craft - Canon CREATIVE PARK
Macchi MC 72, Canon Papercraft, 1/24

Last year, Wyvern announced that Lad'n'Dad had a Schneider racer in the works.

I hope others will weigh in with additional kits available.

I had forgotten the Tabloid, Wayne. Many thanks for the reminder.

Two good websites on Golden Age air racing:
Books and Drawings
The Major Trophy Races of the Golden Age of Air Racing

Curiously, neither site seems to mention Thomas G. Foxworth's magnificent, The Speed Seekers, New York: Doubleday, 1974, which covers the races and racers of the 1920s. It is still available at a reasonable price: http://www.amazon.com/The-Speed-Seek.../dp/0385060505
