Cake with FG Spirit
One of the Conservators working on the Spirit of St. Louis is celebrating her birthday this week, and I was asked to help out by supplying a cake topper. The Fiddlers Green Spirit filled the bill nicely. I ran out of time to make engine cylinders. They fitted wax paper booties around the main gear wheels to keep the frosting off, but the tail skid got a little sweetened "mud" on it.

So, you have moved from making paper food to making real food topped with paper models!
And the Birthday Person gets a memento of the event that will last long after the cake is a delicious memory. Don |

Nice topper! A great memento for a desktop.
In the past, for the boys, I have used card models of crates and animals for a Madagascar style party, small xwings and tie fighters for a death star, etc. Very handy and unique!

Not unless you used food coloring for ink.
