1/48 Boeing 727-200

This is a 1/48 Delta Airlines Boeing 727-200 model I built. It was made by a company called 3D-Paper back in the mid 80's, which is when I built it. They also made a Fed-Ex B727-200 and a PSA Airlines B727-100. Unfortunately, the company doesn't exist anymore but you can still find the models on Ebay sometimes. It's one of the few models I have (paper or plastic) that has survived this long and through several moves intact. My 8 year old son is holding the model to give you an idea of how big it is.

Now that looks cool, I've been working on a 1:48 Airbus A320-214(WL).
Fantastic job on that!
I've looked on Ebay for these and they are well over $100.00.

Awesome plane, and I'm sure your son's impressed, too. It's a double shame that such a company goes out of business and that its creations disappear. But that makes me curious about who might own the copyrights today. Wouldn't it be wonderful if some philanthropist could buy the rights to models of such defunct companies, so that classics of the past could become available again?

Ahh yes, I remember those. Actually had the FedEx and Psa models. Long gone, to where I haven't got a clue.
As stated, it would be wonderful if these, and other models that have been discontinued, could find there way back into production.

Well, I had a Fed-Ex version, opened box but unbuilt. Think it may have been donated to Goodwill a couple of months back…
