If it's not too late in the assembly, I'd be looking at trimming down a yard stick to conform to the shape of the fuselage former and run into and across each wing as a one piece spar.

Do you mean to run through the fuselage and into the wing joint? Or through the fuselage and into the wing? I am still planning on building a functional swing wing, so a one piece wing spar that is fixed doesn't work for that

For such a big plane you must have a fuselage center box made of wood or plastic card to support the big wings. The wings will be heavy especially if you want to make them functional such as fully swinging and deploy the flaps. The wing pivot also will need to be structural and made of wood or plastic so they can swing and also support the cantilevered weight of the wing ( each side ). Another word, build it like the real plane using structural material.
