Halinski Hawker Hurricane 2002

This is an old model for Halinski, and had it around for years, also had an old repaint of the original from some years ago that I had done because I didn't like the heavy weathering and dark color, and wondered how it looked. I started out just putting some fuse parts together to see how the colors looked, and just kept on building (big surprise). There are a couple confusing and or misdrawn parts but the cockpit detail is very nice, and the fit overall is very good, although I may not have done justice to it. Separating the control surfaces was more work than I expected, especially the tail which had to be almost redone for structure, as the original formers don't allow for easy separation.
The main problem with parts is incorrect length for starboard wing fairing, and outer doors with separation required of rear support, but this is fairly obvious to fix. Anyway, it was fun to build and still haven't seen a Halinski I don't like.

Glen,

I think that you did an outstanding job on this model. If there were issues they sure don't show in the pics.

Thanks Curt I had fun building it, no time for pics along the way, but am happy with the model, and to have the plane important as any during summer of 1940...

Outstanding job! I still have a few Halinski kits in my stash left to build, but of course at the rate I complete my projects, they will all be 'old' kits by the time I finish them. :-P

Nice work, Glen. Another great addition to your stable of WWII fighter.

Thanks Rich It's a good model to build. I might choose KK's Hurricane just as easily, but had this one already repainted...
