There is a big difference between the older FG models and the more recent ones.

Tim and Brent - How was the fit of the S-51 parts?

Hi Don,

I built the model and did not like the proportions. I changed so many things that I could not send the repaint to FG.
I think this is an early design from Aaron Murphy.

There did seem to be a load of fit issues with the body. The canopy/nose was so far off I had to increase its size by about 20%. For the rest I used the BFI model building approach: Brute Force and Ignorance. ;-)

I would be willing to do a repaint of this as the Korean War chopper from The Bridges of Toko Ri but I can't find a good high resolution side image of the markings and that odd green top-hat graphic. If someone has that and is willing to share it, I could see about doing the repaint.
