Gpm - dornier do-335 A0 pfeil - 1:33
Hi alls, time for a new model !
So I finally made my mind on that big bird : Gpm Dornier do-335 in 1/33 Yes, that going to be a big bird to build, 42cm length, 44cm wide, 11cm tall, which rise a question, where I'm going to display it ! I'm going to use the book (no scan), laser cut, resin wheel and canopy. All list for around : book 10€, laser 5€, gear 4€, canopy 2.5€ This kit is a classic Gpm setup, printed on A4. Good colours - and match on all sheets - with precise printing. * hard cover with picture of actual finished model, * history and instruction in polish, * a 3 views, * 'Hard' Build parts ; no less than 8 A4 pages 180gg; Sound a lot but with the size of the plane there's actually not that much, nerveless what's look like nice details, specially for cockpit and landing gear. * 'soft' parts : 4 A4 pages, mostly for frame and gear, to glue on 1mm and 0.5mm cardboard. Those complexes parts are the 'lego' type to clip on each others; laser cut advice ! * instruction manual : 3 A4 pages with 3D drawings. Half of it for the frame and 1 page just for the gear, so mostly 1 page left; Could have been more detailed. I started the build and it's get hard to know how some parts fit together, specially the a,b,c,..f when it only lists the main number on a single view/diagram... Laser cut : Four 1mm and one 0.5mm. just a few minor part to do yourself. No surprise here, gpm quality. So Building. I started few days ago with the cockpit. No real difficulty, no problem. the laser cut fit perfectly and are well designed to enforce position. Working now on the front panel and the seat. PS : kit picture aren't of great quality....

I've always liked this plane and it will be great to see your detailed build. I just did the very simple FG version. This GPM should be a beauty.

Thanks guys !
@rich : 1/24 is not enough I thinks you definitively go for 1/16 ! btw great build, who are they (made by) ? By big I mean for an ww2 fighter ; I have the modelik ta-154 ready or the su-30, that even bigger. I decided to go with this one instead, I delayed it too many time already. No real difficulty, the only challenge was to get all parts of the seat fit together. I have more help following a build of this kit on a Russian site than from the instruction manual itself. I have to remove part 11a (interior right console) to get the seat in place. bye
