Since I can't work in vector, Victor, (I open Inkscape at least once a day, push a few buttons, get frustrated and then close it just before the laptop goes out the window), all of my models are done in Photoshop, which is the program I know how to use (Chip Fyn of Fiddlersgreen fame himself taught me how to use it).

I still haven't figured out the fascination with vector, Victor versus bitmap. I admit they scale up much better, but since I design the models as big as they can cleanly get onto a standard piece of cardstock, scaling them up doesn't really matter (unless you plan to print on posterboad).

They're in raster format, which uses bitmaps, instead of vector, which uses lines (I probably understand it even less than you do).
All I know is that Photoshop, which I know how to use, puts them out that way.
Thanks!!! I was waiting for this reply since I sent you a pm. I'll get that soon.

Hello Murph,

Maybe I overlooked it...

A few days ago I bought the 737's and downloaded them: PDF-files.
Not a real problem: PaintShopPro opens them fine and stores in a rasterformat only.
But where can one (me) get the raster-files/bitmaps? Found no link or so on your website..

Still working on them. They're not available yet.

Just speaking from my personal experience with your Spruce Goose (which I will finish one of these days, I promise) - the edges on the pieces are quite fuzzy, making it somewhat hard to know exactly where to cut. Vector would print with a much sharper edge without requiring a higher jpg quality and thus larger file. Vector also makes recoloring much easier, in my opinion (not that I'm very good at it), in that there are paths that can be stroked or filled, rather than trying to match bitmap edges.

What he said.

Again from my freelance days, we had a few ads contained logos submitted as TIFF (bitmap). Next to a vector-based logo there was quite a noticeable difference, even though the bitmaps were submitted at 300dpi. Sharper edges, easier to read, etc.

Almost done with the vector for the 737, ya'll!
