Murph's Models - Bell XV-15

I got impatient and decided to build this one myself (wanted to see if I could)

Scale is 1:42-ish

And the nacelles rotate

This'll be up for $5.00 after I get everything set up (along with a Flying Boxcar Bundle).

That looks amazing! And you said that you can't build well. Great work Murph.

The secret is a long zoom (I'm on the other side of the room) and a dirty lens.

It's available now. I even tested the download link.

Watch this space.

I'm eyeing the XV-15 sitting on my desk, and taking inventory of the various electric motors and electronic parts I've collected over the years and brewing up something that could be dangerous...

Ok, not too dangerous. My electronics knowledge is limited to wiring electric motors to batteries. But if I can find some gears, I might be able to get the nacelles to rotate too.

Ah I remember this nimble little humming bird back in the '90 Dayton Airshow.
Great build Murphy and just to add to your ideas, You could use an Audrino board for servo (nacelle rotation) and motor (rotors) control

Will this bird be also offered as a repainter?

I'm debating that. Apparently whenever they tried to talk a branch of the military into investing in it, they painted it in that branch's colors.

US Coast Guard:

Marines / Army

Possible color version

And Navy gray

I'm usually the first one to do a Coast Guard version, but this one isn't striking me. I'm ready to move on to the next model.
