The pictures show the result. The first one is the original DC-10 model. It's huge! There is a thread on this model on the forum. I have more photo's if you wish.

Croden, if you're going to use that 3-view drawing, don't forget that the inlet of the tail engine has an outward enlarged engine opening.
By the way, I find repainting an existing model a tedious job, it requires high accuracy and is difficult to get all segments match. But it can be done with a good painting programme, as many builders on this forum have shown. I thought I had lost my repainting pictures, but I managed to find two back, to show you how it's done.

Three, to be exact, all by Aaron Murphy's Oddball Productions - 2 1/100 models and a fire-bomber at 1/132.

Search for "DC-10" in the Search box in the upper right corner.

I have the KC-10 and started on it but stopped because the three-piece center section isn't cylindrical. It is wider on one end than on the other, by a couple of millimeters or so, if I recall correctly. Put another way, each of the three pieces that make up the center section should be rectangles with right angles, but they aren't. I found it very frustrating because it is a hard issue to fix.

I suspect the DC-10s have the same issue.

Ah, I think I know what you mean. Is it the fuselage?

Yeah, I could've been clearer. I was talking about the center section of the fuselage. It should be a cylinder, but isn't.

How should we describe the shape? It looked a bit like a delta rocket to me.

I wish Leon's models were in digital pdfs, because Holland is such a long way away, and small stuff usually get lost or stolen during the shipping stage. My dad ordered clothes from Bristol University, but it still hasn't arrived. I prefer systems like Ecards.....
