F7U-3M Cutlass 1:50 Whilhelmshavener
Dear All ,
Here are some images of my latest project the F7U-3M Cutlass in 1:50 scale. The model is not complete yet as I need to add the 4 AIM 7 sparrow of first generation and wheels gear - but otherwise it's done. Best Regards , Yair |

Very nice build of one of my favorite aircraft. Very short active career but looks like a Luft'46 project that actually got built. I forgot that Whilhelmshavener still produces this kit. I had a chance to visit a real F7U this past week.

Well done!
I have this model, have not yet attempted to build it, but am impressed with how good you have made this relatively simple kit look. Excellent craftsmanship! Don |

I believe it was one of the planes that you would get if you bought the Forrestal Aircraft set from WH
but it has been a while since I looked at it

The now defunct site WASP CV-7 used to have a free F7U-3 in 1:100 (VX-4 & VA-212). Sadly archive.org doesn't seem to have the pdfs except for the instructions.

If memory serves me, I believe FG has one, as well as a 1/72 Modelart kit.

The FG model of the Cutlass is notable for being flyable as a glider with a paper clip in the nose that also provided a hook for a rubber band launch: Vought Cutlass | Aircraft |
