Actually saw a demonstration of the Xv-15 in 1984 while at Ft Rucker. Very impressive aircraft. First view of it was a formation flight with a Lear Jet at low level, then it peeled off and landed in a field we were lined up around.

Pilot them hovered doing 360's until he reached the far end of the field. Set it down, then they rotated the engines to about 45 degrees and took off in a hurry. Rotating the pods to horizontal and accelerating out of sight.

Nice repaint and beautiful model! Nicely done!
