Smile Mig- 15 1:48 Ecardsmodels

For the weekend a simple model of the mig15.
Some facts about the type.
The most produced jet fighter as more than 15000 were built in Russia, china, poland and more countries.
In Korea it was a bad surprise for the american p-80 shooting stars.
Only the f-86 sabre could handle it. The mig was lighter and had a better rate of climb and
higher operational service ceiling.
Arnmunition was 2 ×23mm and 1× 37mm canons far better than the 6 ×0.5 of the sabre.
The main reason why the sabres won the battle was because the American pilots had
more experience as many were WW2 veterans.

Very nice to see that 1:48 scale paper models are adding detailed cockpit.

The last photo is because it is doing a loop, right?

Hi Gerardo - In my opinion a model without a detailed cockpit is like a car without a steering wheel.
Also, despite the simplicity of the model there are bays for the landing gear.

And, it has both! Well built, makes me want to take on such a "simple" model!

Dear All - the mig 15 is painted in a scheme of
the Yemenate air force.

Mig 15 1:48 ecardmodels

Some more photos of the mig 15.
The last 2 photos were taken from the monthly
meeting of the Israelian modelers.

Yair,

That looks like one of Nobi's MiGs, that means the tail section is removable to display the engine. I've built the PLAAF MiG-15 of Nobi's, a beautiful kit.

Great build Yair!

Nice set of models in the last two pictures. Do y'all do airplane models only?
