For the moment Shiden inspires fear in me....
Engine itself has over 100 parts and the entire plane was designed with maximum realism as the goal. If I can make it (and unlimited amount of spare parts should greatly help ) then I will no longer be afraid of any Halinski's kit ![]() Back to the model at hand ![]() Vertical stab and tail wheel installed. I like the idea that the wire for the tail wheel goes through the entire fuselage - this will assure stability of the assembly. |

Mike, you don’t need to be afraid of Halinski’s kit though it has a dozen of parts, fit is perfect, paper quality is superb so that you can roll parts up less causing crease. Seeing pictures I imagine you are building it without annoying with bad fit and etc. that goes with mediocre kit.
note: it does not always mean that other kits than halinski are not good. There are a lot of superb kits published by various manufacturers |

Yu,
This is an early Halinski kit and as such has some minor fit problems. Nothing serious, but enough to require dryfitting every part... Tail: No problems with getting it into correct position so vertical IS vertical are horizontal IS horizontal . I'm not very happy with the fillet, but it will have to stay. Not sure why it was done this way, but getting the ends meet at the leading edge is not the best idea in my very personal opinion. |
