Cutlass 1:72 Dr. Zarkov

Dear All,

I think that those of you following my posts saw that I am a cutlass freak.
The reason for this is simple - despite it's problems the cutlass was a unique
Aircraft sharing no resemblance to other types of it's era. The only one that comes
close from the same era was the F4D skyray .
Here are some photos that were taken 17 years ago of Zarkov's cutlass.

One of my favorites as a young teen in the 50s. It was one of the coolest looking aircraft of its day and most of my drawings centered around it, the Skyray and the doomed XF-90. It deserves a detailed 1:33 or 1:32 model - Dr. Z? Marek? Ken West? Any takers?

Dear YankeeBoy - there was a hobby model no.33 of Cutlass but the color scheme
was bad and also the shape is not accurate.
The 1:50 of Wilhelmshavener is the only one to go. I posted a thread in page 3 on it.

I am familiar with both (and with Dr. Z's 1/72 scale offering.) I would like to see what one of today's skilled designers could do with the subject. I, unfortunately, have no design skills or I would have done one long ago. I built the 1:50 Wilhelmsahvener model about 30? years ago. It didn't turn out so well because I wasn't familiar with some important German words (like "doppelt" and a few others.) Your build was much better the one I did back then.

I add my voice to the request for a good 1:32 design of this craft. A could-have-been-great airframe, as usual for the time period, coupled with an underpowered engine. (Commonly referred to as the 'Gutless' by its pilots.) Back in the day I made a stick-and-tissue version that was intended for a Jet-X engine....the big honker that required many months of allowance to purchase, so I settled for flying as a slingshot glider. It flew like an angel.
