LadNDad Douglas Boston Mk III, 1/48 downscaled to 1/72

The Boston has remained in a half-built condition for quite some time, almost a year, after I tore apart the wings that were not quite right when I first started building it. Finally, I have it done with enhancement, bomb bay doors, bombs and spinning props. I would say, with no offence to LND, that their models are a real challenge even to the experienced paper modelers. Some parts are not easy to fit and you have to think of something to fix it here and there. The graphics don't always align (that I could do nothing about to correct) and there's a lot of trimming and patching to deal with.

OK, whining is over, and the model turns out to be quite a beauty, considering some of the details, like the engines with cylinders, and the wheels. So, it's not all that bad.

Papermate -

As always, you have produced a fine model (in the face of great obstacles) from the LND Model of one of the world's great and good-looking airplanes.

I must say that I am in great awe of your skill and productivity. I have learned a lot from reading your posts, and the images you post are always a treat for the eye.

I've always liked the lines of the A-20/Boston and this model reflects those lines pretty well.

I picture the wing dihedral a bit more than this models appears to show, but that could be the camera lens doing that or my mind could do that too. Either way, very nice model.

Does anyone know of a US marked version available from anyone ?

So who all has made LadNDad models? I tried once and it was a disaster...

Awesome! Lad N Dad is not easy models to build, ressemble a plastic model world in the old vacuoformings kits, is hard to build.

Definitely one of if not the best LnD build ever posted on this forum!

Congratulations on sticking with it.

Very nice work. I have tried two Ladndad models. The first was an Avro Avian and it was very nice, and went together well. The other was a Mirage, which I gave up on. But with both of them I definitely got my $2.50 worth.
