Lockheed WP-3D Orion

With hurricane season and the huge pacific Hurricane Patricia, news articles and videos of the Lockheed WP-3D Orion have appeared.

These "highly modified" P3 Orions are pretty awesome planes that are purposely flown into and through hurricanes with a wide spectrum of instruments and gear for measurement and study. These two NOAA planes compliment the WC-130J's flown by the 53d Weather Reconnaissance Squadron.

I'm opened the link(blog) from my phone browser operamini for android, it works. could you try different browser like mozila.... i think some pop-up adds cause it (a false alarms?) maybe, I'm not sure, sir.

A WP-3D would be cool to have. The Paperhobby model seems to have some shape issues around the cockpit and radome.

Bruno did one in 1/300 on the S&P thread. It would take some mods, not just a repaint, though it probably would be worth it.
