Werner Smuts and MacSongLi, thank you. I've added 2 grams of weight to the nose, but I might bump that up a bit depending on the wind conditions. Flying weight looks like it will be around 15 grams.

I'm going to make a flight report, including a flight video, whenever the weather and my schedule finally allow it.

This might be off the mark but a thought about CoG struck me while watching progress. Gliders used to have a movable weight for differing loads like single occupancy in a two seat Slingsby. How about a weight stuck/clipped on a rubber band that is partly inside the fuselage so all you need to do is move the band to move the weight for and aft. Worth a go?

Thanks, Hyair! Mike, not off the mark at all; that's a darn good idea. I think what I'm going to do is adapt your idea of using a rubber band as the weight clip, but keep it all inside the cowling.

There is a toothpick inside the cowling from the nose spinner that I can attach the weight to. Thus far I've been using tape, but a rubber band might be easier to work with. Thanks for your thoughts on that!

Just a quick thought on adjustment of weigh and balance, the rubber band being partly outside the fuselage COULD make it easier to adjust pic attached. Hopefully.

Mike, that's a great diagram you've posted, and a very interesting setup. Thanks for sharing that. Here's what I currently have.

In this case, two coins are serving as the ballast.

Beautiful model!

What do you mean by "Flight"? Appears to be unpowered, is that right? Reason I ask is that this model would be a great candidate for a micro RC foam "conversion".

Got it, the flying planes I make now are simple gliders that average 3 to 4 inches in length and I use blue tack in a similar manner, just a small lump. When I grow up I will make flying aircraft like you do and need a more sophisticated method. I hope it works but it will be a sod to get to work. I suppose I take something simple and complicate the hell out of it like my granddad before me.
