Correct, the power is either the rubber band catapult or my arm. And today I finally got the break in the weather I've been waiting for to fly it.

gorgeous plane and nice flight video. the plane seems a little too tail heavy though but i guess it's necessary to keep that nose looking nice and pretty. i usually reinforce the noses of my gliders with tissue and wood glue to make them extraordinarily hard and able to take anything that it hits.

i have a question. i am working on paragons F3H demon that i have modified it for flight. i am hand painting this model so i was wondering how did you painted the panel lines on the plane? do you paint the panel lines as the undercoat and then cover it with (i assume?) the diluted preliminary color, or do to just paint the model with the preliminary color and then paint the panel lines over it?

Thank you all very much for the encouragement and interest in the project!

Frederico, the wind was a bit variable, and I might have done better with a little heavier nose. But the nearby grass was wet, so I didn't want it to fly out of that little paved area. I'm going to do more to beef up the nose of whatever I build next.

I don't really do pre-shading for panel lines like some guys do. On this model, I left the panel lines unpainted, and then came back and painted over them with a different shade of blue, and then went over that with a pen. If you look my P-40, I basically did the same thing but didn't go over it with a pen. Then on the F-14, I only used pen.

I think the kind of subtle color differences you use on your prehistoric animals would translate very well to denoting panel lines. I look forward to your upcoming F3H!

Really nice! Great job on both the build and the flight! I really like the inflight photos, they show the aircraft beautifully! Thanks for sharing!
