GELI No. 5 / Dassault Mirage III / 1:33

Because "Boats" did such a great job with another Geli model, I would like to come up again with one of the new released models.

The Dassault "Mirage" III, French counterpart to the "Starfighter" and often sold to many parts of the world.

Especially for this jetfighter, the silver shine cardboard of Geli is a fantastic base.

First of all, let´s have a look on what I´m going to cut and glue...

looks like you and I are the men from Geli. there good kits they have thier own style. looking forward to see this build I have a few more geli kits that need to get started. I will be watching this build with entrest good job my man.

The same procedure with nearly every Geli model - building the central fuselage segment. This one is not as simple as it seems to be. You have to prepare it well due to the hunchback form.

Afterwards, I built the aft section of the fuselage. No problems to report here. Just working smooth and with patience...

Looking great you build them fast like I do, not much to those Geli kits when i finish my P-40 I will start on another geli kit I have a bunch of them stashed around the boson locker.

Very smooth fuselage. The only Geli that I ever built was the x-15 when I was new to card modeling. It had a few dimples in it due to my inexperience, although I'm not so sure that my skills have improved much! I also had a Sukhoi, I think it was the Fishpot, that I gave away to a friend.

I always liked the Mirage 3. However, GELI was never my favorite kit maker ( neither is FG ).

I would be watching the final pictures of this build.

Thanks for interest guys.

Important for the side rudder setting up, is the alignment with the center line of the fuselage. Best point of view to check, is the front view.

Nothing significant to report while building the cockpit section.
