Bucker Bu 131 Jungmann

I made the mistake of asking my wife what to build next.

She said airplane, so here's the one I picked. There is a choice of two liveries, unless you make a second set of common parts (which I did).

I've decided to build the silver version first, followed by the red one at a later time.

Anyway, the fit is excellent for all the fuselage frame pieces.

Those Schreiber kits have a excellent parts fit - mostly.
Good choice!

Progress: cockpit and fuselage are assembled. For the most part assembly was uneventful except for the piece of skin between the engine cowling and first windshield. A fair amount of trimming was needed to get it to fit acceptably. I also included a scale reference shot. This model is 1/24 scale. The car is a comparable 1/25.

Yes the car is plastic and its from a Revell kit...

If a cluttered desk is a sign for a cluttered mind, then what does an empty desk mean?
My working place looks quite similar, but I recently I could get my hands on the huge Short Sunderland by Fly Model, so I will have to reorganize things sooner or later.
Greg, that Jungmann is taking shape well!

Thanks all! The kit is not a perfect fit, but its not bad either. There is a pair of jigs for the wings to set the anhedral (?) for the top assembly. I think that's the right term even though my spell checker says it isn't.

Anyway the pictures I have seem show the top wing drooping and the shape of the wings where they meet the center section support this.

Should be able to tackle the bottom wings tonight.

Also, once I get this gray bird done, I still have enough parts for the red version, which is the one of most interest to me anyway. This first one is the "trial" run....
