watch the wing tips

issac,
you may find you need to stretch the wing tips as well. . .

can't recall if it was on this forum or kartonbau.de that a build review noted that both left and right wing tips too short to fit wing. you may wish to scan and output at corrected size.

good luck. i have this kit as well.

Ouch, that not what I expected from GPM.

Did they really screw this up?

Issac,
check out Rutzes' review here http://www.kartonbau.de/forum/gpm-18...ion/t26721-f8/

and Gummikuh's review here http://www.kartonbau.de/forum/me-262...61/index3.html

both addressed the wingtip problem as well as your empenage transition and other shortcomings of kit.

I looked at both builds. And as predicted, both had problems with the red tail pieces. Neither method really looks good ( sorry ). I'm not sure I will do any better.

Isaac, good luck with the challenges ahead, I'm sure that you can work your experienced way out of them. I'll be following this one.

Cheers,
Erik

Exclamation Le'ts build- Fuselage Center section

To me the logical place to start the build is the fuselage center section. That consists of the cockpit which is simple and the center section built as an open cylinder.

I used the laser frames.

So far it is easy.

The control column and top will be added later.

I will follow you closely, Isaac; as I have the same kit, but I haven't cut it yet.

Now I will wait for your suggestions, and like you mentioned, for the tail fairing.

Go for it!
