Texan II T-6a trainer

Hello all,

Starting a new scratch build - a Texan II T-6a model in the colors of Israeli air force basic trainer that is also used by the aerobatic team. It is a single-engine turboprop aircraft built by Beechcraft, that is actually based on the Pilatus PC-9.
The drawings and fuselage sections are of the PC-9, and in the build will have to do some small adaptations to the Texan II.
In the Israeli air force the aircraft is called Efroni (Lark). The color profile is taken from Camouflage & Marking No 7 - The IAF years 2002 up to 2012.

Because of the color matching between parts, started with a basic fold outs, and marked on it the color profile.

Each foldout is than scanned and colored.

Thanks Isaac, pablo antonio and Gene K for comments and interest. Regarding your question pablo antonio, at the moment I prefer to concentrate on this one. To do a recolor takes a lot of time, and need to build the model again to see that all parts feet together.

Continue working on the fuselage, fined out that both sides of the aircraft are not identical.

The forward part need some small corrections, so back to the drawing board!

Continuo working on the fuselage. Parts are added and it looks more and more as an Texan II.

Started also to work on the vertical and horizontal tail.

Merry Cristmas and a Happy ney year !!
